Getting ready for Congress
By Kristen McIntyre CHT
I have been away for almost a year on maternity leave. I am amazed at how much things have changed. A few days after I came back to work, I went to Expo, and it was great to reconnect with so many familiar faces. At the same time I quickly noticed that our membership demographic has changed.
There are many more youthful faces at the forefront eager to soak up all we have to offer. These new leaders are looking to shape our great industry.
There is a lot of excitement surrounding the 2011 Congress Conference, in conjunction with our trade show. We are offering sessions from Jan. 11 to 13. On the schedule for Jan. 11, is our ever-popular Awards of Excellence. Keeping our new demographic in mind, this year’s event will have a nightclub theme, and promises to entertain everyone. Get your tickets sooner rather than later, so you don’t miss out.
I look forward to re-connecting with everyone and welcome comments anytime. I can be reached at kristen@landscapeontario.com.
