About the keynote speaker:
James Solecki | Island Villa Lighting Ltd
James Solecki has been involved in the lighting industry since the age of fourteen, getting his feet wet and catching the lighting bug while managing stage and live event lighting gigs. He went on to found INTEGRA Bespoke Lighting in 1999, growing it into one of Ontario’s leading outdoor lighting companies. Focused on providing residential and commercial properties with green, environmentally friendly, and dark sky friendly lighting systems, James carved a niche in the lighting industry. With over seven hundred systems installed and with clients across Ontario and throughout North America, INTEGRA became a sought-after brand in Outdoor Lighting Systems.
In 2015 James opened Island Villa Lighting in the Turks and Caicos Islands with the intent to bring leading edge lighting design, specification, and installation services to the Caribbean. Since arriving he has expanded his operations to include a design/consultancy, a distribution company, and a contracting business. TCI clients include both high value private villa owners as well as top tier condominium resort operators.
Realizing a need to vertically integrate, James expanded his operations by opening JSLDesign, an interior lighting design firm, and ventured into the realm of LED lamps, building the first successful complete line of LED lamps for outdoor lighting systems.
James has always been active in his community, volunteering his time with many worthy causes such as the Lion's Club, Chambers of Commerce, School Parent's Council, the YWCA, and others. He lives with his wife in the Turks and Caicos and relishes every chance he gets to host or visit his two adult children.
